Stress Causes...
Stress causes the body to return to homeostasis or optimal functioning until the
stress load has retreated. There are many processes that the body uses to do
this.
The body has many regulatory systems that oppose the forces of
stress and bring the internal environment back into balance. Creating high
resitance is the main feature of all living organisms.
The point of return is to homeostasis -- the state of the internal
environment to remain relatively constant and functions optimally.
Every body structure, cell, and system helps to keep the internal environment
normal. So the stress causes the body to readjust itself and return to normal.
The cardiovascular system keeps fluids moving to all parts of the body.
The respiratory system moves oxygen to vital organs and carbon dioxide
removal.
The digestive system provides nutrients and removes wastes.
The endocrine system provides hormones for specific functioning.
The nervous system detects and regulates all parts of homeostasis.
Anything that causes these systems to deviate from homeostasis is a stress to
the body.
It is important to know and understand stress causes so you can begin
to reduce them.
If you want to really dig into your cause of stress and learn how to turn it
into a positive change in your life...it's in The Ultimate Natural Stress
Management Manual.
