Stress Related Illness and Symptoms
Stress can symptoms into illness. The limiting factor is the time
frame; there are two--short term or acute, long-term or chronic.
Acute Stress
Acute stress comes immediately. It is an intense type of stress, but it passes
quickly. The body can usually handle an acute episode of stress. It comes and
goes and the person can get back to normal life routine once again. A traffic
accident, a slip and fall, a viral attack are all acute stress.
Chronic Stress
Chronic stress occurs if there is a constant stress for a period of time.
Chronic stress affects the body with no site of ending. Relationship stress, job
stress, financial stress, and chronic viral or bacterial stress all seem to
overwhelm a person to the point of causing illness.
After chronic stress causes the body to accumulate symptoms, illness is not far
behind.
